Medical Store & Pharmacy Billing App for India: free, offline, expiry & GST
Zobaze POS is a flexible billing app with a dedicated medical store setup, made for single, family-run chemist shops in India that still run on a paper register, Excel or a WhatsApp list. Scan a barcode to bill fast, add an expiry date to every medicine and get an alert before stock goes off, make GST receipts, keep your khata (udhaar) in the phone, take UPI or cash, and print or WhatsApp the bill, all offline. It runs on the phone in your hand, with no counter computer to buy.

The app, rebuilt for your medical counter
Real medicines, real ₹ pricing. The actual screens you'll use, with only what the app truly does.
Add a medicine with price & expiry
Scan or search, then take payment
A GST receipt you can print or WhatsApp
Get your medical store billing in four steps
From download to your first medicine bill, with no training and no computer needed to start.
Add medicines or import from Excel
Scan a strip's barcode to add a medicine, or bulk-import your whole list from Excel in the Web Back Office: item name, price, cost and barcode. A big catalogue is no reason to wait.
Set price, expiry & low-stock alerts
Put a price on every medicine, add an expiry date and an alert so the app warns you before stock goes off, and set a low-stock level so you reorder in time.
Bill at the counter
Scan a strip or search the name, take UPI or cash, and mark it due for khata customers. Print the GST receipt on a thermal printer or send it on WhatsApp, even when the internet is down.
Track dues and reorder
Check Due Customers for who still owes you, and open Reports for the day's sales and your fastest-moving medicines, so you reorder the right stock before it runs out.

Medical store & pharmacy billing app: frequently asked questions
Is Zobaze right for my shop?
It is a simple billing app with a daily pulse of your shop, more like an MIS than accounting, not a pharmacy ERP. You get GST billing and barcode scanning, and it tracks stock going in and out, cash in and out, and sales by each staff member, so you always know what is happening in your shop. You can invite your staff with their own logins on the paid plan. It does not do full accounting, P&L or bookkeeping and it is not an ERP, but you can view your receipts and export your sales reports as PDF, and your item and stock lists to Excel from the Web Back Office, to hand your CA or auditor at filing time. If you want fast billing and a clear picture of your shop, with the records ready for your accountant, that is exactly what it is for.
Yes. Zobaze POS runs on a normal Android phone, so you can bill, scan barcodes, track expiry and keep khata without buying a computer or a bulky counter machine. A computer is optional: the Web Back Office is only for bulk jobs like importing your medicine list from Excel. Day-to-day billing happens on the phone, even offline.
No. Zobaze POS is for retail medical store and chemist shop billing, not hospital billing, doctor charting or insurance claims. It bills medicines at the counter, tracks stock and expiry, and keeps khata. For hospital management or insurance work you will need a dedicated system.
If you run a pharmacy chain or franchise that needs multi-branch control, do wholesale pharma distribution, or must keep strict batch-wise records and Schedule H or H1 compliance reports, a full pharmacy ERP will fit better. Zobaze is built for single, owner-run shops that want simple, fast billing with expiry alerts and khata on a phone.
Getting started
For a small medical store or chemist shop, pick an app that bills medicines by barcode, tracks expiry dates, makes GST receipts and works without internet. Zobaze POS does all four and starts free with up to 100 items. If you can use a basic Android phone, you can bill on day one. Most owners are up and running the same day they install it.
Yes. Zobaze POS has a free plan with unlimited billing and up to 100 items, so a small medical store can start at no cost, no hidden charges. A pharmacy carrying a bigger range of medicines can move to the paid Premium plan for a larger catalogue; check current pricing in the app or on the pricing page.
No. Adding a GST number is optional. If your medical store is below the GST turnover limit, you can still bill, keep stock, track expiry, run khata and share bills on WhatsApp without a GSTIN. When you register later, add your GST number and a tax rate and the app starts printing a GST receipt. So a small shop can start today and add GST when it needs to.
Expiry & stock
Turn on Track Expiry in Business Settings, then add an expiry date and an alert (say, 60 days before) to each medicine. Zobaze POS flags stock that's nearing its date, and the Inventory Health Score surfaces what to sell first. It's a single expiry date per medicine, good for cutting waste on slow-moving stock, though it doesn't yet split one medicine into multiple batches with different dates.
Set a low-stock level on each medicine and Zobaze POS flags it when stock runs low, so you can reorder before you run out. For planning, open Reports to see your fastest-moving medicines and the day's sales, so you reorder what actually sells. The app keeps a running stock count as you bill and as you add new supply; if a count ever looks off, correct the quantity on the item. It isn't a purchase-order or supplier system, so you record what you buy from suppliers yourself.
Zobaze POS doesn't have a separate batch-number field yet. What each medicine carries today is a name, price, cost, barcode and an expiry date with alert. If you need the batch on record, many medical stores add it to the item name or the item's notes. For selling near-expiry stock first, the per-item expiry date and the Expired list in Inventory Health are what you'll use day to day.
Yes. At the counter, type the first few letters of a medicine's name to pull it into the bill, or scan its barcode. For a big catalogue a barcode scan is usually the fastest way to find the right pack. You add and organise the full list, with categories, in the app or the Web Back Office.
Yes. Open the Web Back Office on a computer and bulk-import from Excel: fill the template with item name, category, selling price, cost price and barcode, then upload hundreds of medicines in one go. It's the fastest way to move a big list in instead of typing each one on the phone. Item photos are added in the app, not through the sheet.
Zobaze POS is a fast, free mobile counter app, not a full pharmacy ERP. It keeps one expiry date and one price per medicine, which suits a single-counter medical shop or chemist that wants quick billing, khata and expiry alerts without a computer. It doesn't track separate batch numbers or several expiries for the same medicine, and it doesn't print drug-license or Schedule H details, so a licensed pharmacy that must keep strict batch-wise records will need a specialised system. For simple, fast counter billing that is free and offline, it fits a general medical shop well.
Billing, barcode & printers
Yes, two ways. Use your phone camera from the billing screen, or connect an external scanner: pair a Bluetooth scanner from your phone's Bluetooth settings, or plug a USB scanner in with an OTG cable. Once connected, the scanner types the code straight into the search box like a keyboard. Save each product's barcode once (scan it while adding the item), and from then on a scan drops that medicine straight into the bill. For a busy medical counter a physical scanner keeps the queue moving faster than typing. For the full picture, see how barcode billing works in Zobaze.
Add your GST number to your business profile so it prints on the bill, and set a tax rate on your medicines so tax is added at billing. The result is a proper GST receipt in a clean medical store bill format, with your shop name, GSTIN and the GST amount, that you can hand over, print on a thermal printer or share on WhatsApp. You control the rate yourself: set it once and it applies to every sale, and when GST rates change, update the rate in the app before you make new bills.
Zobaze POS pairs with common Bluetooth thermal printers in 58mm and 80mm roll sizes, the ones most medical counters already use. Pair the printer in your phone, pick it in the app and print in one tap. Turn on graphical mode to add your shop name and logo to the top of every GST receipt.
Yes. After payment, share the bill on WhatsApp as a message or a PDF, handy when a customer wants a copy on their phone or there's no printer nearby. You can also send it as a shareable link. Sharing bills is unlimited, even on the free plan.
Yes. Billing runs offline, so a weak signal or a power cut never stops the counter. Your sales save on the phone and sync to the cloud at least once a day when you're back online, so no dropped bills during a rush, and nothing lost if the network at your shop is patchy.
Zobaze POS doesn't have a dedicated purchase or supplier-bill module. You can record what you pay a supplier as an expense in the Cashbook, so your daily money in and out stays in one place. For stock, you update the quantity on the item or re-import your list from Excel when new stock arrives. It keeps day-to-day cash clear, but it isn't a full purchase-accounting system.
There is no separate returns register, but you can record a refund as a cash-out entry in the Cashbook and add the item quantity back into stock. This keeps your money and stock in line for the occasional return. A shop with heavy daily returns and batch-level credit notes will need a dedicated pharmacy system.
Khata & customers
When a regular or a clinic account buys on credit, tag the bill to their name and mark it due. Zobaze POS keeps a running balance in Due Customers, so you always know who owes what, and you record repayments as they clear. It's your paper udhaar bahi, now in the phone.
Plans & staff
The free plan holds up to 100 items for a single user, with 7-day reports, while billing stays unlimited. A small medical store with a core range fits comfortably. A well-stocked pharmacy carrying hundreds of medicines can move to the paid Premium plan for a bigger catalogue. Check current pricing in the app or on the pricing page.
Yes, on the paid Premium plan you can add staff logins and let a helper bill from a second phone during peak hours. Each staff member has their own access, and reports show sales per person. It keeps two counters moving on a busy evening while you still see who sold what.
Yes, on the paid Premium plan you add staff logins with their own role-based access, so a helper can bill at the counter without your owner login. Give billing staff only what they need for selling, and keep cost price, margin and full reports on the owner view. It keeps a helper on the till while your numbers stay private.
Your data & safety
Your sales and stock save on the phone and sync to the cloud at least once a day when you're online. If your phone is lost or breaks, sign in on a new Android phone with the same account and your synced data comes back. Keep the phone online each day so your latest bills are backed up, and nothing is left only on paper.
